Buy Local Challenge Week (July 19 - 27, 2008): With the arrival of spring, so comes the return of the growing season and soon our area farms will be harvesting fresh products for our tables. Farmers' markets are opening and farm stands, groceries, wineries and restaurants will all begin to offer locally grown products. This is time to prepare for the Buy Local Challenge Week.

SMILE Horse Show: For Western and English disciplines. Pre-register for all classes by June 18. Late registration also accepted on day of show. Open to children 8 - 21 years old as of January, 2008.

SMILE Participants Dinner: To be held at the fairgrounds at 6:00 p.m., dinner for SMILE families. Relax and enjoy a good meal and meet new friends. Return forms with money by June 6, 2008.

SMILE Dog Show Rules: The SMILE Dog Show will be held on Saturday, June 28 at the St. Mary's Gounty fairgrounds. Dog Show begins at 10 a.m. For information call Susan McQuilkin, 301-274-1922. Registration mist be post marked June 6, 2008.

June 27-29, 2008 - So. Maryland Invitational Livestock Expo- Entry Forms: Entry forms for all classes of livestock (beef, sheep, swine, dairy and meat goats). Entries must be postmarked by June 6, 2008.

June 27-29, 2008 - SMILE Show Rules: A 3-day livestock show also includes Horse Show and Dog Show at the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds.
