Insurance and Long Term Care Workshop: The Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC) would like to invite you to a free workshop on Insurances. Presented by Wealth Management Partners, topics will include types of life insurance policies; uses for life insurance; how much do you need and tax implications. Long-term Care Insurance (LTC) will also be discussed. Specifically, various options and benefits of LTC; does Medicare and Medicaid cover LTC; are all LTC policies created equally; and who should consider LTC and how is it priced.

Annie's Project -- Education for Farm Women: Beginning Jan. 27, 2010 for eight consecutive Wednesdays, 6 – 9 p.m. through March 17, 2010
Annie’s project is designed to empower farm women to manage information systems used in critical decision making processes and to build local networks throughout the state. The target audience is farm women with a passion for business and involvement in the farm operation.
Workshops will take place simultaneously around the state. Cost is $50, and covers all eight workshops, meals and class materials. The Southern Maryland site is at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, California, Maryland.
